Description
Meet your tour guide and driver at the MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station and get ready to experience rare seasonal beauty.
The tour begins at the impressive Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, a monument in memory of the late President Chiang Kai-shek.
Besides the grandeur of the main hall, the refined Chinese garden surrounding the structure boasts a rich array of cherry blossom trees and various plants. Through its seasonal displays of a diverse assortment of flowers and plants, this garden serves as an inspiring haven for gardening enthusiasts and an exceptional destination to appreciate cherry blossoms. Whether you are simply a flower lover or gifted with green fingers, this place promises to kindle your creativity.
The next stop will be Yangmingshan National Park, renowned for its volcanic landforms, rich biodiversity, and hot springs. Here, the gardens are maintained in a way that features different flowers every season—year round, there are sweeping floral blooms to enjoy. Yangmingshan National Park is usually also the first location in Taiwan to witness the blooming of cherry trees. From early February to early March, the park becomes home to countless ping and red cherry blossoms.
After breaking for lunch, enjoy a relaxing walk around Tamsui Tian Yuan Temple. This temple, built on the slopes of Yangmingshan, is one of New Taipei’s most popular spots for cherry blossom viewing. Hundreds of cherry trees surround the temple, creating a uniquely Taiwanese landscape.
Our last stop today will be Fisherman’s Wharf in Tamsui. The area is well known for its seafood, ferries, and romantic sunset view. Viewing the sun set over Lover’s Bridge as the water reflects the day’s assortment of magical colors will be a fitting end to the day.
At the end of the tour, you may choose to depart at one of the following three stops: Tamsui Old Street—famous for its local food and souvenirs shops; Shihlin Night Market, Taipei’s most well-known and largest night market; or the centrally located MRT Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station.
